The AI Tools service provides a suite of offerings for accessing and using dedicated artificial intelligence platforms and tools. It includes direct licenses to commercial AI tools, a gateway service for routing application requests to AI models, and a University-customized platform, each reviewed and governed to meet Penn's standards for data privacy and security. This category is distinct from AI capabilities embedded within other University services; it covers tools whose primary purpose is providing AI functionality. Because offerings vary in the sensitivity of data they're approved to handle, users can choose the option that fits their needs, from everyday tasks to work involving more sensitive institutional data. Additional offerings and features will be introduced as the University's AI landscape continues to mature.
