As part of Penn’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) Program, improvements to PennKey support functionality were implemented August-October 2023 with the release of the new PennKey Support Application, which dramatically improved the support experience with a modern, secure, easy-to-use interface and new functionality. See below for more information.
Details
Who Is Affected?
The new PennKey Support Application is for:
- Penn Community/PennKey administrators
- View-only EntryView users
- Two-Step Support Providers
Overview
The new PennKey Support Application was deployed in August 2023 on the new Penn Community platform and replaces the PennKey support functions in EntryView. When Duo Universal Prompt rolled out on November 14, 2023, the PennKey Support Application replaced the Two-Step Admin Console. There is a new single role – "PennKey/authorization support," which supports existing PennKey setup code processes and provides new functionality for PennKey Support users, including:
- PennKey passwords and resets
- Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) enrollment information and support
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) status and support
Note: Manual Entry users will continue to use legacy Penn Community to perform add/update functions.
Timeline
