Overview

IT Community Events helps the University's IT community respond to changing conditions in Penn's IT environment, stay current on emerging technologies, and better understand and support the computing needs of the University.

Offerings

  • IT Orientation -Orientations are provided throughout the year that cover different aspects of Penn's IT environment, such as networking, support for IT professionals, computing policies, and an overview on how IT decisions are made at Penn.
  • IT Staff Convention - Penn's foremost annual event for Penn IT professionals for both personal and professional growth. The convention provides networking opportunities, peer-to-peer learning, the ability to see the breadth and depth of IT projects at Penn, as well as to create connections that last far beyond the convention itself.
  • Special Interest Groups (SIGs) - Provides opportunities for those interested in specific IT topics to share useful information through several avenues, such as listservs and group meetings.

Rates

Allocated funds support the net expense of operating the University’s Administrative Service Centers. Funds are collected centrally, through charges levied on each School, Resource Center, and Auxiliary.
